Tech Forum Presentation Online

23 Mar

For those who weren’t able to attend our Tech Forum presentation today at UAT, we have the recording online, as well as our slides. The recording is a bit difficult to hear at times, since we only had one mic for all of the team, but if you have any questions, feel free to comment below or via Facebook or Twitter. A huge thank you to everyone who attended, the University of Advancing Technology for allowing us to present, and of course, the awesome team members who participated!

“Life at GDC” at Tech Forum

23 Mar

You’re invited to watch the Delirium Team give a presentation about “Life at GDC” as part of the University of Advancing Technology‘s Tech Forum. We will be presenting today (Friday, March 23rd) at 12:30pm (AZ time) in UAT’s theater. Everyone attending will receive a free Delirium sticker, so be sure to stop by and support the team! For those unable to attend, UAT will also be streaming the presentation live, along with several other fantastic speakers. And just in time, too! The team has been super busy getting ready for the Game Developers Conference next week, and we just completed the playable demo for Delirium! While we weren’t able to get everything in that we wanted to, it is looking pretty awesome and we can’t wait to show it off. We will be handing out DVD copies of the demo at GDC, so if you’re attending, stop by and grab a copy before everyone else!

UAT Article on Delirium

7 Oct

The following is an article written by fellow UAT student, Andrew Moursund. It was featured on the University of Advancing Technology’s intranet in October of 2011.

Game Design student Pralie Dutzel has her work cut out for her now that her new XNA game project is in production. The game’s title isDelirium, and it is billed as a 2D horror-platformer with a unique visual style. The project is being run through Professor David Wessman’s special topics class, SPT323, and Dutzel hopes to have the game finished and up for sale on Xbox Live by the end of the fall semester.

Pralie’s Intro Post!

7 Oct

Hello! My name’s Pralie Dutzel, and I am the project manager and lead game designer for Delirium! I am currently a game design student at the University of Advancing Technology, and this is my first actual game project to be in charge of. I’ve always had a passion for everything horror, and with a history of writing horror fiction (as a hobby), I thought it was time to put my skills to the test and make a horror game. So far, the team has been great and I can’t wait to show everyone what we’re working on!

When I’m not busy working on Delirium or schoolwork, my other passion is level design, primarily in the Unreal Development Kit. I have begun a tutorial video series to teach others how to use UDK, and have an active blog where I discuss my game and level design practices. You can check out my blog, Simply Design, at You can also take a look at my portfolio at
